GailGo
Built at the Craicathon (an Irish language hackathon), GailGo is a Chrome extension designed to make learning Irish part of your everyday browsing. Instead of carving out study time, the language comes to you — random words on any English website are replaced with their Irish equivalents as you browse.
Users can customise their experience by choosing difficulty level, the number of words replaced per page, and their preferred dialect (Munster, Connacht, or Ulster Irish). Hovering over any replaced word shows the original English, the Irish definition, and pronunciation guidance using data from the Teanglann Irish dictionary.
The idea is passive immersion. The same way you pick up words living in a country, except it happens through your browser.
